(Photos) NFL: RG III’s Teammates Happy About Decision To Start Cousins!

Today, Jay Gruden officially made the announcement that Kirk Cousins would be the primary option and will be the starting quarterback for the Washington Redskins. This news does not come as much of a surprise as this now confirmed rumor has been circulating for some days; however, what is more surprising is the fact that some Washington players publicly praised the decision that was made by Gruden.

(Video) NBA: Rajon Rondo Gets Benched After Heated Exchange With Rick Carlisle

Rajon Rondo has always been a hot head and things can get pretty heated during a basketball game between the players and even with the coaches.  That’s exactly what happened on Tuesday night during the Dallas Mavericks 99-92 win over the Toronto Raptors.

NFL: RGIII’s End In Washington? Griffin Benched & Replaced!

Could it possibly be an end to the Redskins’ RGIII?! Well, Griffin throwing only 106 yards in a very close loss to the San Francisco 49ers this past Sunday was enough for coach Jay Gruden to make a final decision. As of now, RGIII has been given the boot, as Colt McCoy is set to start as QB in Sunday’s game against the Colts. Additionally, Gruden says Griffin must improve passing and has THREE games to prove himself! More info on this story after the jump…

NBA: Not Because He Looked “Worn Down” … Is This The Reason Roy Hibbert Was Benched?! Wow.

What in the world is going on with the Pacers?!  More drama for the team after last night’s loss to the Hawks.  Roy Hibbert only played 9 minutes last night and was benched for the second half of the game.   Pacers coach Frank Vogel sat Roy Hibbert for the entire second half, saying his All-Star center looked “worn down.” Well now according to new reports there’s another reason why he was benched.  He was reportedly more focused on something than what was happening in the game at the half and was late to the bench.  I really hope this isn’t true.  SMH.  Check it out…

NBA: JR Smith Benched Again; JR Reacts (This Doesn’t Sound Good)

And the drama continues.  Last week JR Smith was benched against the Heat, a day after being fined $50k for the shoe lace untying incidents.  Well he was benched again last night as the Knicks lost to the Bobcats.  What did Coach Woodson & JR have to say about it?!  It doesn’t sound good.  Check it out…

NBA: JR Smith Benched For Knicks Big Win Over Heat, Doesn’t Think His Future Is With New York!

Knicks coach Mike Woodson finally made a statement last night, but it was more about what he didn’t do instead of what he did. After JR Smith received another fine from the NBA, coach made the decision to never bring him off the bench during the Knicks big 102-92 win over the Miami Heat. The Knicks had a much better flow on the court and the fact that they handled the Heat all night without the services of Smith speaks volumes. It sent a message that the team has had enough of Smith’s antics and Woodson stuck by his guns by benching him all night for an important game. JR himself obviously felt some type of way, which you would expect after never getting on the court. Now he doubts his future is in NY. Hit the jump to see what he said.
