Last week, the hip-hop community mourned the loss of one of our pioneers, after Sugarhill Gang member Henry “Big Bank Hank” Jackson lost his battle to cancer. Funeral arrangements have now been set, and all our welcome to attend and show their respects. Details are below. RIP!
RIP: Big Bank Hank (Member of The Sugarhill Gang) Passes Away
We’re sad to share the news today that Big Bank Hank has passed away from cancer. He was born August 5, 1957 in Bronx, NY. He was a member of The Sugarhill Gang, the first hip hop act to have a hit single, “Rapper’s Delight.” Our thoughts & prayers are with his family. RIP.
