Drake’s “One Dance” Has FINALLY Given Him His First Number One In Canada

Believe it or not, Drake has NEVER had a solo record hit the number one spot in his home country of Canada in his entire career – until now. Thanks to his Views From The 6 single “One Dance,” Drizzy has finally achieved a number one on the Canadian Hot 100 this week. You may be surprised to know that he also has yet to reach number one as a solo artist in the U.S. either – though he came close with “Hotline Bling” last fall. However, he has nabbed top honors twice thanks to his features on Rihanna’s singles, “Work” and “What’s My Name.” Hopefully this accolade will put him on the path to a number one in the U.S. soon! I mean, if Desiigner could do it

Macklemore Reveals He Regrets Not Warning Iggy Azalea About Name Dropping In ‘White Privilege II’

At the top of the year, Macklemore released his record “White Privilege II”, off his recently released album, This Unruly Mess I’ve Made. In the nearly nine minute song he explores the the racial injustice happening in America, Black Lives Matter and more.  At one point, Macklemore suggests artists like Miley Cyrus, Elvis and Iggy Azalea have “exploited and stolen the music, the moment/ The magic, the passion, the fashion, you toy with/ The culture was never yours to make better.” The Seattle rapper’s bars only lead to drama stirred up by Iggy Azalea who took the name drop personally and tweeted, “he shouldnt have spent the last 3 yrs having friendly convos and taking pictures together at events etc if those were his feelings.” Looking back at the situation, Macklemore has reflected and admits that while he stands by what he said, he should have let her know about the name-drop before the track was released.
