Microsoft has updated its Bing search engine with includes a new version of the Facebook sidebar. When the user hits search, they will see comments on a relevant Facebook post within sidebar or they can sign in and see their own updates.
Bing is also joining in with the April Fools Day fun. On Bing’s website if you search for Google, the page turns into, what looks like Google’s search page. Bing places its on logo on top and instead of the “I’m feeling lucky” button, it says “I’m feeling Confused”.
Klout, a site that measures users influence on social networks, has added Instagram in its scoring. All Instagram activities will be part of your Klout Score, and your most popular photos will appear in your Klout Moments. Also, Klout has integrated Bing to allow users to connect their account to the search engine. Search results will eventually factor into each user’s Klout Score.
Bing is adding more information from social networks like Facebook and Twitter into how it displays search results involving people. The changes were created to give users a wider glance to answers they search for. When searching for celebrities, for example, social information from Twitter and Facebook will now be added to Snapshot section of the page. Tasha
