Despite running a company that is only 2 percent black,Facebook CEO, Mark Zuckerberg is woke! In a recent Facebook memo to employees, Zuckerberg blasted staff members who have been crossing out “black lives matter” and writing “all lives matter” on the company’s well known signature wall. In the memo Zuckerberg wrote; “There have been several recent instances of people crossing out ‘black lives matter’ and writing ‘all lives matter’ on the walls.” Despite my clear communication at Q&A last week that this was unacceptable, and messages from several other leaders from across the company, this has happened again. I was already very disappointed by this disrespectful behavior before, but after my communication I now consider this malicious as well.” He added, “This has been a deeply hurtful and tiresome experience for the black community and really the entire Facebook community.” Read the full post in the gallery.
ABC’s ‘Black-Ish’ Takes On Police Brutality and Black Lives Matter In Latest Episode
ABC’s sitcom “Black-ish” took a more serious turn on its latest episode which aired last night and tackled police brutality. As apart of supporting Black Lives Matter , rapper Nipsey Hussle has decided to release a series of t-shirts to honor the movement. Nipsey has designed black shirts, with the faces of African-American victims who have been killed by police engraved in the words “Crenshaw” which represents his brand. The shirts are not only dope, but they also support a great cause.
Barack Obama Will Speak With Black Lives Matter Activist At The White House
Black Lives Matter activist will get a chance to speak with President Barack Obama at the White House. Obama vowed to his country that he will continue to work on reforming the justice system even during his last year as president. We’ve seen Obama do just that. He had the sentences of 95 prisoners reduced in December.
White Cop Fired After Shooting A Black Man Then Claims He Was Racially Discriminated Against
In October 2015, Canyon Boykin, shot 26-year-old Ricky Ball. After losing his job, Boykin has now filed a discrimination lawsuit against the City of Columbus. Boykin claims that he was fired due to the fact that he is white and Ball was black. He also is claiming that his 14th amendment rights were ignored.

Tuesday, February 9, a little after 6pm, MarShawn McCarrell, decided to commit suicide on the steps of the Ohio Statehouse. McCarrell took his life by shooting himself. Many are truly outraged by this incident. McCarrell was an activist of the “Black Lives Matter” movement. He also was the founder of a organization called “Pursuing Our Dreams,” which centralized around feeding homeless people in the community.
