Many may think I’m cookoo, but this case was LESS about racism, and more about a low-life who was issued a gun, couldn’t back up his fight after approaching someone on some nonsense, all to be placed on a list of heroes – which is what G. Zimmerman wanted to be. Which brings me to this…when I came across this selected list of, “White Celebrities Who Have Stood Up For Trayvon Martin,” I didn’t sit too well with the title. I was more surprised as to who was on the list, simply because of who they were and what they usually stood for, as opposed to them being, “white.” This kind of division shouldn’t still be happening in 2013! OH HELL NO: Abercrombie & Fitch Cuts Black Employee’s Hours For Dying Her Hair?!?!
Abercrombie & Fitch in Willow Grove Park recently cut Amber Mitchell’s hours at work from five days a week to one day because she died her hair blonde like the other employees. The only difference is, she’s black and the other girls are white. Amber, who is also a student at Penn State Abington, explains that her boss told her “You’ll have to dye your hair back to brown. That color isn’t natural and you can’t work with this color.”
