NBA: Report, Nets Coach Jason Kidd Rips Into Team Again!

Losing will do this to you. Especially when hopes were so high for the Nets before the season started after all the moves they did during the summer. After another dismal performance on Christmas Day against the Bulls, reports have Kidd tearing into his team again and questioning their effort. NBA: Coach Jason Kidd Says Nets ‘Getting Very Close to Just Accepting Losing’, Deron Williams Responds

Like the Lakers, the Brooklyn Nets got hit with the injury bug pretty early.  The Nets however have gotten some of their key pieces back in Deron Williams and Paul Pierce but lost a big piece in Brook Lopez for the rest of the season.  Still the Nets have been very disappointing so far with a 9-18 record and the 12th spot in the Eastern Conference.  After getting blown out by the Indiana Pacers on Monday, coach Jason Kidd felt his team had come to accept defeat.

The Brooklyn Nets released some devastating news today announcing that All-Star center Brook Lopez had suffered another broken foot and would be out for the remainder of the year.  With the East being so bad the Nets can still make a playoff run but it’s doubtful they’ll get very far.  Nets’ owner Mikhail Prokhorov put a lot into this season, literally, with a $87.2 million tax bill making the Nets salary the largest in the league at about $186 million.  While Prokhorov wants immediate results, the Nets have years to go before they can make any sufficient moves.

Tough break for the Brooklyn Nets who have already been battling several injuries in the young season.  Nets’ center Brook Lopez has reportedly suffered a broken foot again and will be out for the rest of the year.

The Brooklyn Nets were in Detroit to play the Pistons and decided to jump the Pistons mascot Hooper who was then dragged off the court.  Hooper came back however and got his revenge.


NBA: Deron Williams’ Possible Return Date

The Brooklyn Nets fell to 5-14 after the 4-13 New York Knicks pummeled them on Thursday night. The Nets have been hurt by a rash of injuries and soon they may get their starting point guard back in the lineup. According to ESPNNewYork.com, a team official confirmed that Deron Williams is expected to play Tuesday when the Nets take on the Boston Celtics.
