Whether they played with him, against him or watched from their TV’s as a kid, each NBA player in the game today was inspired somehow by Allen Iverson. As the Phildelphia 76ers retired his #3 jersey last night in a special ceremony a few players posted a small tribute as well.

Can’t fault Carmelo for the Knicks woes this season. He has done all he can to try and help New York but it is obvious he can’t do it with the current roster they have. Last night during a brutal beat down at the hands of Lebron and the Miami Heat, Melo was on the court giving his all as usual which included a dunk right over Lebron. Slightly later in the game Bron tried to drive to the rim against Melo and wound up having his shot thrown into the crowd. Lebron obviously still did his thing but Melo had to let him know he is right there. Check out the videos after the jump.
