Frank Ocean’s Year Long Breakup!!

*cues Thanking Bout’ You* Or do you not think so far ahead, because Frankie’s been thinking about this for forever, or at least the past year. The 27 year old singer/ songwriter who is undoubtedly one of the best lyricists to ever pick up a pencil is moving on. This isn’t your traditional “leave your key and half this months rent on the kitchen table” type of break up; Frank is ditching his old self. Christopher Edwin Breaux, Frank’s birth name is no more as Los Angeles judge finally gave him the green light to leave his birth name in the rear view and officially claim “Frank Ocean” as his legal name.


Frank Ocean Hit With Lawsuit Over ‘Channel Orange’

Frank Ocean seemed to be having a great start to 2013, but now he’s been hit with a lawsuit over production on his album, channel ORANGE. The lawsuit was filed on March 6 in a California court by Producer/songwriter Micah Otano. Otano also named Island Def Jam, Universal, and producer Malay saying Malay took all the credit for the production of one of Frank’s songs. Read more below.

It’s a good day to be Frank Ocean, huh? Shortly after the announcement that he’d be performing at the Grammy’s, the RIAA has certified his 2012 debut album, Channel Orange, gold status! Congrats and good luck at the Grammy’s!
