NBA: Luol Deng Says the Cleveland Cavaliers Are a ‘Mess’

The Cleveland Cavaliers were expected to be much better this year and make it to the playoffs but so far they have a 16-31 record with the 11th spot in the Eastern Conference.  They traded troubled center Andrew Bynum to the Chicago Bulls for Luol Deng which should’ve helped things but Deng says the Cavs are a complete mess.

Carmelo Anthony lit up the Garden last night dropping 62 points in the Knicks win over the Bobcats.  The feat set a new Knicks franchise record of most points scored and also a record for most points scored in Madison Square Garden.  The magical night also came with a bit a gloom as media and fans alike brought back Anthony’s free agency decision into question.

When Chicago moved Luol Deng to the Cleveland Cavaliers in exchange for Andrew Bynum and Draft picks—so just cap relief and picks, essentially—it was expected that some of the guys on the Bulls wouldn’t be too happy. Big man Joakim Noah was honest about the hurt he felt, but also said he’s since learned he needs to move on.


NBA: Chicago Bulls Reportedly Want High Price for Luol Deng Including What?

With the Chicago Bulls losing their star point guard Derrick Rose for the season again, the team is expected to go into rebuilding mode.  That means they’ll likely get rid of some of their key pieces including Luol Deng.  The Bulls recently said they had no intentions on trading him but according to several people in the league their asking price is reportedly pretty high and teams are weary of going all in for a player with an expiring contract.


NBA Reports: Derrick Rose Doesn’t Want to Go Through Rebuilding Process With the Bulls

Derrick Rose suffered a torn meniscus and after undergoing surgery he will be out for the rest of the season.  With the Chicago Bulls losing their star player yet again, many assume they will forego playoff hopes.  With that said Bulls will likely trade away viable assets and begin to go through the rebuilding process.  That’s something Derrick Rose reportedly doesn’t want to go through.
