Today the Oklahoma City Thunder signed Nick Collison to a two-year, $8 million contract extension. Many people were confused by the amount of the extension considering Collison is declining and at 34-years old he’s averaging 3.8 points and 3.4 rebounds in 16.0 minutes per game this season. The thing is Collison has been with the team since it moved from Seattle and is very important to the franchise so Thunder star Kevin Durant took exception to an NBA reporter who criticized the move.

I’m not gonna go as far as calling this a beef, but it seems as though Kevin Durant is not very fond of ESPN reporter Chris Palmer. Earlier this afternoon Chris listed NBA’s smartest players and had Kevin Durant listed at number 15. Ouch. Well a fan asked KD about it and KD had something to say.
