NBA: Cavs Resign Ty Lue For 5 Years And WHAT?!

The Cleveland Cavaliers are clearly no fools as an organization. They’re not letting go of the man that was able to help them do what had not been done…bring home a championship! So of course they resigned him!

(Video) NBA: Despite Tyronn Lue Trying to Coach, LeBron James Takes Over During Game

There’s been tons of jokes that LeBron James is the star player, general manager and coach for the Cleveland Cavaliers, but now we’ve actually seen him in action.  James was given the night off to rest during the Cavs game against the Houston Rockets but he still found a way to get into the game.

NBA: Check Out Why Byron Scott Says Kobe Bryant Wouldn’t Make a Good Coach

There’s been jokes before about Kobe Bryant being a player/coach but what about an actual coach?  Prior to the Lakers 119-115 win over the Timberwolves, Byron Scott was asked if Kobe would make a good coach.

(Video) NFL: 49ers Hire Chip Kelly As New Coach, Inspires Hilarious “California Love” Parody

The Chip Kelly era in San Francisco has begun and bitter Eagles fans hope things go even worse for him in the Bay Area. The 49ers signed Kelly to a four year, $24 million dollar deal, despite Kelly proving that he might not be the football genius so many people seemed to think he was. With Kelly’s move to the west coast, it inspired a new version of Tupac’s “California Love” video.

NFL: Giants Make It Official, Hire Ben McAdoo As Tom Coughlin’s Replacement

Ben McAdoo was brought to the New York Giants to do one main thing which was to correct Eli Manning’s mistakes and make him better. He has done that and then some considering since McAdoo showed up two seasons ago, Eli has had the best two seasons of his career. That chemistry apparently is what got him hired as the Giants 17th head coach in history after Tom Coughlin stepped down last week after 12 years, 2 Super Bowls and some great memories. Now McAdoo has his shot to write his own name in New York lure.

NBA: Derek Fisher Says Knicks Can Win 63 Games Next Year

As a Knicks fan, I would like to believe in Derek Fisher. But when he is talking crazy like this it makes it a little harder. The Knicks have only won 15 games so far this season with just a few left. It is the worst season in the history of the franchise and while Fisher shouldn’t get a lot of blame for it, he does. Who knew back before the season started how quickly things would fall apart, or that Melo really wouldn’t be anywhere near 100% before shutting it down. It is cool to look forward to next season with a positive attitude, but to say a team this bad could win 48 more games next season is more than a stretch.

(Video) NBA: Cavs Beat Clippers So Bad That Doc Rivers Personally Apologizes To Young Clippers Fan

You know as a coach that your team looked real ugly on the court if you find yourself apologizing to fans. Last night late in the game as the Cavaliers were blowing the Clippers out of the arena, coach Doc Rivers noticed a young Clippers fan sitting front row even though the game was in Cleveland. Doc felt genuinely bad that one of their young fans who won’t get to see them in person too often didn’t get to see much of a show tonight. Doc let him know next time they will put on a better show but more importantly he probably made the kid a Clippers fan for life.

(Video) NBA: Doc Rivers Says No Special Treatment For His Son Austin After Being Traded To Clippers

This might be the toughest coaching job of Doc Rivers career. Not because his team is bad, but now his son Austin Rivers will be playing for him after a trade, making him the first player in NBA history to play for his own father as coach. Rivers will likely not play much but there is a pressure here that most of us can’t feel because at the end of the day it seems Doc is trying to save his son’s young career after not adjusting well to the NBA and it could be tough to separate coaching feelings from father feelings. Doc is the ultimate professional but still, family is life.
