Tech: Google Is Working On a Wireless Internet Service For Your Home To Compete With Comcast

Google entered the broadband scene in 2011 when they launched Google Fiber, a high-speed internet and cable service that was available in select cities in the U.S. Now Google is working on a wireless internet service where they plans to beam wireless broadband connectivity directly to homes across America.

Thats a hell of a deal to back out on. According to a Bloomberg Report ComCast the largest cable provider in North America is abandoning its $45 Billion bid to merge with Time Warner Cable. Sources are reporting that on Friday Comcast will make an announcement in a shocking change of events. The deal had been waiting federal approval for a year because of the sheer size of this merger. If successful the new company would have control over 57% of all United States homes that have standard broadband connection. Check out why the deal fell through after the jump


Google And Netflix Rally Against Cable Providers?!

The debate over who should pay for delivery of online content to customer’s homes is almost over. Google says it will not charge Netflix for a direct interconnection to its Fiber Internet network. Netflix has already been paying Comcast and Verizon for interconnection on their networks. This idea could benefit future content companies.


Diddy Tells Ad Age, “ReVolt TV Is Going To Change The Game!”

Every since Diddy announced that he would be launching his own television network, it’s been a movie! Fans have shown their appreciation via SM, multiple sites have used videos and other information from ReVolt TV as a source, and it’s only the beginning! The Bad Boy mogul talks to Advertising Age [Ad Age] about the network, and what’s to come with it. Diddy says that Revolt TV will not just be the channel for hip-hop music, but, “electronic dance music and pop,” are some of the other genres we can look forward to. Angry Birds Are Coming To WHAT Device?!?

Later this month, Rovio will introduce a new cartoon series called “Angry Birds Toons”. They will be bundle the Cartoons inside Rovio’s Angry Birds mobile games. On or around March 15th you can expect to see the new cartoons on a channel in Rovio’s gaming lineup. Also, the company has partnered with Comcast, which will run the cartoon on Xfinity on Demand, online at Xfinity.com/tv, and in the Xfinity TV Player app on Samsung Smart TVs, with Roku and other platforms to follow.
