Last night on Saturday Night Live, Chris Rock opened up the show with a monologue that secured laughs and a couple of frowns. Rocks monologue went from jokes about the Boston Marathon, to 9/11 and although his points were valid, some fans took to the internet claiming these jokes were inappropriate. James Corden, a popular British Comedian, was recently appointed the position as the new host of the Late Late Show. According to Kathy Griffin, she was also interested in the job, however, CBS executives told her that “they are NOT considering females for at this time.” CBS has not responded to any news outlet requests for a comment. Griffin says “I walk into the (meeting) room thinking, ‘I’ll give it a shot,’” said Griffin. “I leave the room thinking, ‘I never had a chance.’”
