For some of us, being in attendance at The Grammy’s is a dream come true, so for him to be able to do this for these kids was amazing.

Kendrick Lamar is really a gem. The Compton has come from a city known for its severe violence and high death rates. That, however, has not hindered him from delivering some of the most thought-provoking rhymes of our time and paying it forward with some children in need. From the White House to City Hall, K. Dot has left his mark. Compton’s mayor Aja Brown took to social media to announce that she has recognized his efforts to support his community, and plans to give him a key to the city on February 13.
