Since South Carolina won the battle to bring down the Confederate flag on all government property, the rest of the country is set on making sure that no one glorifies the flag in public. In Detroit, Confederate flag protestors called for punk rocker Kid Rock to denounce the flag once and for all and keep it out of his future shows. UPDATE: Since Bree Newsome climbed the flag pole in front of the Capitol and removed the confederate flag her actions have inspired hashtags such as #FreeBree and #TakeItDown. Her actions have also inspired those we may least expect to come to her rescue. After Bree was arrested, Liberal documentary filmmaker Michael Moore posted on twitter an offer to pay bail and legal fees for the young activist. He posted,

He wasn’t the only one however ready to come her aide. An Indiegogo campaign has already raised more than $17,000 for Newsome and fellow activists protesting violence against black people and the taking down of the confederate flag. Walmart To Stop Selling Anything With The Confederate Flag On It
Walmart is one of the largest chains with locations all over the states. The successful retailer made the executive decision to put a halt on selling anything with the Confederate Flag on it in light of the recent tragedy in Charleston, South Carolina. “We never want to offend anyone with the products that we offer,” said Walmart spokesman Brian Nick. “We have taken steps to remove all items promoting the confederate flag from our assortment — whether in our stores or on our web site.” Do you agree with Walmart’s move to cut all things Confederate Flag related? Confederate Flag License Plate Battle Reaches The U.S. Supreme Court
Looks like this issue has not gone away, as the federate flag license plate battle reaches the U.S. Supreme Court. On Monday the issue will go up for review in front of the Supreme Court over Texas rejecting a specialty license plate displaying the Confederate flag. Read more inside.
