UFC President Dana White Says Conor McGregor is Cut From UFC 200

Conor McGregor shocked the MMA world on Tuesday when he posted on Twitter that he was retiring early.  As I wrote yesterday, we began to wonder what was going on and if he would compete in the rematch against Nate Diaz in UFC 200 as planned.  Well UFC president Dana White answered that inquiry, announcing that Conor McGregor is cut from UFC 200 but his reason is not what we thought.

With his trash talk and boastful declarations about running UFC, it appeared that Conor McGregor would be around for quite some time, then two things happened.  1. He suffered a shocking defeat to Nate Diaz 2. Joao Carvalho died from injuries suffered during a fight earlier this month that was attended by McGregor.  A rematch between McGregor and Diaz is set for UFC 200 on July 9, but McGregor posted a shocking tweet that has everybody confused.

Conan O’Brien is a pretty funny dude and he seems to have good chemistry with athletes he brings on the show. Last night, O’Brien and his Irish brother Conor McGregor tested out the new video game “UFC 2” which actually features McGregor on the cover. The result was a crazy funny bit that you might watch more than once.

Both MMA fighters Ronda Rousey and Conor McGregor have had quasi feuds with Floyd Mayweather.  Rousey mentioned his domestic violence issues and McGregor was upset that Mayweather used him as an example in his discussion about racism.  Floyd however says he never said anything bad about either of them and the media twisted his words.

Conor McGregor made a name for himself after his 15 second win.  His arrogance and trash talk catapulted his celebrity even further.  The former UFC champion suffered a shocking loss by submission to Nate Diaz during UFC 196.  Following the fight McGregor gave props to Diaz for the win but later he took to his Instagram account and was his normal brash self.
