NBA: Monta Ellis Signs 3 Year Deal With Mavericks, Could Be for $30 Million!

Earlier this week, Monta Ellis narrowed his list of teams he might play with down to 4. Now it is only one. The Dallas Mavericks signed Ellis today to a 3 year contract that will be worth between $25-$30 million. He was definitely one of the best guards available through free agency. Many teams would of loved to get him, but he wanted some major money. The Mavs hope he will be able to help Dirk out with some scoring, but he has never been known for his defense and he takes alot of bad shots. Still, on any night he is capable of dropping 25-30 points. The Mavs needed someone after striking out on getting Dwight Howard.


NBA: Devin Harris Agrees to 3-Year Deal With the Dallas Mavericks

The Dallas Mavericks lost OJ Mayo and and Darren Collison at the guard position.  They’ve added Jose Calderon with a four-year deal and have now added Devin Harris to join draft pick Shane Larkin.  Read more after the jump.

The Dallas Mavericks struck out in their attempt to land Dwight Howard on Friday, so they quickly moved on to Plan B. The first order of business was to fill their starting point guard position and they did that via a free agent deal with Jose Calderon.  Read more after the jump.

NBA: Boston Celtics Say Dallas Mavericks Have Nothing to Offer For Rajon Rondo

Yesterday a rumor began that the Dallas Mavericks and Boston Celtics were discussing a potential trade involving Rajon Rondo.  The rumor picked up speed quite quickly with Shane Larkin and even the Mavericks cornerstone Dirk Nowitzki both being brought up.  A source close to the Celtics situation however is killing the whole buzz.  Read more after the jump.
