NBA: Dirk Nowitzki on Zaza Pachulia: “We got him for a Gatorade cooler and he’s been phenomenal for us”

You gotta love Dirk Nowitzki.  He and the Dallas Mavericks beat the Minnesota Timberwolves 93-87 on Monday night.  Nowitzki led all scorers with 29 points, but the Mavs were once again aided by the contributions of offseason pickup of Zaza Pachulia, who finished with a double-double (13 points, 11 rebounds) in 32 minutes as the starting center.


NBA: Deron Williams on Time With Nets: ‘Made me question if I even wanted to play basketball’

Injuries and disappointment marred Deron Williams time with the Brooklyn Nets and he’s since moved on to a happier and healthier time with his hometown Dallas Mavericks.  Williams says he’s enjoying the game of basketball again, something he hadn’t felt with the Nets.  In fact, playing in Brooklyn made him question whether he even wanted to play anymore.

DeAndre Jordan returned to Dallas Wednesday night as he and the Clippers played the Mavericks and as expected, he didn’t receive a warm welcome.  Numerous fans held up signs clowning his freethrow percentage and comparing it to him not keeping his word.  As you know, Jordan took free agency by storm this past summer when he made an agreement to join the Mavericks then later changed his mind and decided to re-sign with the Los Angeles Clippers.


NBA: Mark Cuban Says He Saved All His Texts From DeAndre Jordan & Will Reveal Them At a Later Date

Tonight DeAndre Jordan and the Clippers will be in Dallas to take on the Mavericks and Jordan is surely to receive a harsh welcome.  It’s his first time playing there since spurning the Mavericks and Mark Cuban after agreeing to sign with the team then backing out and changing his mind, instead deciding to return to the Clippers.  Cuban hasn’t hid his feelings toward Jordan, often showing that he’s still upset and bitter.  In fact, Cuban says he saved all the messages from Jordan the infamous night, the Clippers “held him hostage in his home”.

Well Well…apparently the Dallas Mavericks social media team still has no love lost for Rajon Rondo. When the Mavs traded for Rondo last year it was met with hopeful enthusiasm but unfortunately it turned out to be a disaster for everyone involved. When a fan pointed out on twitter that another player involved in that trade has become a real help to the Mavs, the twitter account made sure to fire a shot at Rondo.

Dirk Nowitzski is entering his 17th season in the NBA but unlike Kobe Bryant, he has an absolute timetable of when he will call it quits.
