NBA Report: Welp Mavericks Thought They Were Contenders to Get Kevin Durant After Getting DeAndre Jordan

The Dallas Mavericks have had issues landing big name free agents such as Deron Williams, Chris Paul and Dwight Howard.  It appeared things had finally turned around when DeAndre Jordan committed to a four-year, $80 million deal with the team.  As you know, Jordan had a change of heart and after a hilarious night of reportedly being held captive, he agreed to re-sign with the Los Angeles Clippers, leaving the Mavericks out in the cold yet again.  Unfortunately for the Mavericks, the domino effect could hurt them big time.

It was announced that free agent DeAndre Jordan had decided to leave the Los Angeles Clippers and join the Dallas Mavericks on a four-year, $80 million deal.  He didn’t sign the deal yet as the league has a waiting period and the Clippers decided they would make another last ditch effort to get their big man back.  Today coach and president Doc Rivers along with reportedly Blake Griffin, Paul Pierce, Chris Paul and JJ Redick arrived in Houston to meet with Jordan and convince to remain with the team.  This set off an emoji war on Twitter with each player tweeting their mode of transportation to get to Jordan.


NBA Report: Mavericks Most Likely to Lure DeAndre Jordan Away From Clippers, Chandler Parsons Recruiting

DeAndre Jordan is set to become a free agent this summer and has already pubicly expressed that he will explore free agency not just commit to the Los Angeles Clippers.  There are several teams that have their eye on the big men but the Dallas Mavericks have some help.  Two summers ago Chandler Parsons helped recruit Dwight Howard to Houston. Then last summer Parsons bolted the Rockets and signed with the rival Mavericks over in Dallas.  Even there he doesn’t stop. Chandler is back to recruiting big men.


NBA Report: Monta Ellis Opting Out of Mavericks Contract, Pacers & Heat Reportedly Interested

There was a report that the Dallas Mavericks will explore trade options if Monta Ellis opts in to the $8.72 million player option on his contract.  Ellis has since decided to opt out and become a free agent and is already receiving some interest.

After the Houston Rockets prowess 3-point shooting sent the Dallas Mavericks home, their twitter account decided to take a shot of their own. The Houston Rockets Twitter account tweeted a Horse and Gun emoji, referencing to the Rockets putting down the depleted Mavericks. Well the tweet appears to have cost the Rockets social media manager his job. Check out the Rockets and Mavericks response to the tweet!


NBA: Did Rondo And The Mavericks Part Ways After Game 2?

The Dallas Mavericks season ended last night after enduring a lost to the Houston Rockets, sending home to go fishing. Well it looks like Rajon Ronndo’s seasons ended after game 2 of that series, as it is being reported that Rondo and the mavericks parted ways after Rondo was benched and it was announced that Rondo would miss the remainder of the playoffs with a sudden back injury, that appeared out of no where.
