Danny Brown’s New Album Is Influenced By Heavy Metal

Danny Brown is gearing up to drop a new album, and he promises that this new effort is going to change the rap game. Lauryn Hill, Danny Brown And More To Headline The 2015 Afropunk Festival

August 22 and August 23, Brooklyn’s Commodore Barry Park is going to be where it is at. The 2015 Afropunk Festival lineup has been announced, and there are going to be some pretty dope talent in the building. Realistically, the dopest. Headlining the show is no other than the talented L-Boogie, Danny Brown, Lenny Kravitz, Kelis and Grace Jones. Taking place the day before the BIG event, Grace Jones – and other to be announced figures – will appear for the first annual Afropunk Fancy Dress Ball. The Ball is to raise funds for the AFROPUNK Global Initiative; “an alliance dedicated to moving the needle of progress closer to a holistic, democratic and enlightened representation of people of color within all facets of society…” Check down bottom for the lineup of attendees.

The Detroit emcee spoke with, The Huffington Post and declares that credit isn’t given where credit is due when it comes down to his lyrical skills. “I still don’t feel like I have the respect I deserve.
