Chicago Bears wide receiver Brandon Marshall ticked off the Detroit Lions when he referred to his division rivals as “little brothers” and called their defense “borderline illegal”. Marshall even took a shot at the city telling them to fix their financial problems. Well of course they weren’t going to let that slide and some of the players fired back.

Things got heated today as the Dallas Cowboys took on the Detroit Lions. The spotlight was already casted on Dez Bryant after recent comments he made about Calvin Johnson aka Megatron. Bryant knew he would have to perform exceptionally well after comparisons about the two were made all week leading up to the game. Well things didn’t go so well for Bryant and he let everyone have it.

Damn! This dude can kick the hell out of a football. I am surprised it took this long for him to get a contract. Havard Rugland is a kicker from Norway who has been an internet sensation for a while now. His videos get millions of hits, and that attention has finally paid off. Rugland was signed to a 1 year contract with the Detroit Lions yesterday. Now that doesn’t mean he has made the team yet, because the also signed pro bowl kicker David Akers for this season as well, who happens to share the NFL record for longest field goal ever at 63 yards. But from the looks of this video, Rugland has a serious chance to win the job. Check it out after the jump.
NFL: Detroit Lions Sign Former 49ers Kicker David Akers
David Akers went from having the best season of his career, to the worst in only two years. I’m sure he and the Lions are hoping for a fresh start as they agree to a new contract. Akers will have big shoes to fill as he’s replacing Lions long-term now retired kicker, Jason Hanson. Read more after the jump.
NFL: Somone Tell Lions Receiver Titus Young To Shutup!
Since the Detroit Lions have Calvin Johnson, aka “Megatron” aka “the best receiver in the NFL”, you might not know too much about Titus Young. But if your a football fan odds are you know him. And it may not be for the best reasons. Young’s career started off well with Detroit, but this past season was a disaster. Because he was upset with coaches, he purposely tried to sabotage plays on the field by lining up in the wrong spots numerous times. So much so that some of the offensive lineman told him to get off the field. I am sure they didn’t say it so nice. Being mad at coaches is one thing, but to take it out on your teammates?
