Cuban has made it quite clear that Nowitzki won’t be traded and though he will become a free agent soon, Cuban is willing to offer Dirk whatever he wants as he still maintains he wants to build around the aging star. When the Dallas Mavericks beat the Miami Heat in 2011 to win the NBA finals, it was no question who the best player in the finals was. It wasn’t Lebron, or Dwayne Wade, it was Dirk Nowitzki, hands down. He carried the Mavs to the title that year and it seems the NBA has not forgotten.
