Sean Kingston had one hell of a night at a Dominican Republic nightclub, Euphoria, where he racked up a $8,000 tab and walked out on the bill.
As Dominicans world-wide rejoice today (February 27th) and celebrate the Independence Day of such an amazing country, it’s only right to do a tribute post naming some of our favorite Dominican-inspired things. From hookah to the Heights, the Dominican culture has been something that’s taken the world by storm these past few years. Go grab yourself an ice cold Presidente, a nice big plate of fritura and head over to the gallery to check out some of our most loved DR related things! Feliz Dia de Independencia Dominicana!
When you put in the hard work and dedication, you can afford to live lavish. Hip-Hop power couple Jay Z and Beyonce are living proof of that. The Carters took a trip to the Dominican Republic with their precious daughter Blue for a family retreat to the tropical island. As always, Bey shared a bunch of images from the family vaca. Adorbz! Check out the images over in the gallery.
It seems like we weren’t the only ones who’ve been tired of the frigid temperature and all the snow in NYC. Jay and Bey were spotted Saturday night at a dance club in the Dominican Republic.
Rosa Acosta, mostly known for her large ASSets, has taken a step outside the box. The model/singer wanted to lend a helping hand, so she took a 10-day trip to Tanzania, where she volunteered at the Living Water Children’s Center. Showing the children some cool dance moves and helping to feed them was only a small contribution, Rosa felt like she should make. In this world however, no matter what you do, someone will find a problem with it. People of the Dominican descent reached out to Rosa and wanted to know why she was in Tanzania and not the Dominican Republic (her home turf). Welp, she details that, after the jump.
Earlier this month, Rihanna got a very painful (and large!) tattoo on her hand while down in New Zealand on her Diamonds World Tour. Apparently the Bajan beauty decided she wasn’t too fond of it any longer, and had Bang Bang McCurdy and Cally-Jo from Bang Bang NYC Tattoos fly out to DR to cover it up. Check out the end result in the gallery and what they said about it below.
