Today would have been Michael Jackson’s 53rd birthday. Michael Joseph Jackson was born in Gary, Indiana to Katherine and Joe Jackson. After seeing the undeniable singing talent that his sons possessed, Joe took his sons and their band all over the country until the boys were signed. The signing of The Jackson 5, which young Michael sharing the lead vocals with his older brother Jermaine, the Jacksons became a household name. It was clear that at even such a young age, Michael was destined to become a star. In 1978 Quincy Jones agreed to produced Michael’s fourth solo effort called Off The Wall. Off The Wall not only broke records, but launched the new career of Michael Jackson as the King Of Pop. Before his untimely death on June 25, 2009, Michael single handled ruled as the King of Pop, topping music charts every, breaking existing records, and even creating new ones. On the day Michael died, the world lost one of the greatest, if not the greatest, singer/entertainer of all times.
