Erick Sermon Is Still Hospitalized After Suffering Heart Attack This Weekend

As we reported over the weekend, hip-hop legend Erick Sermon suffered a heart attack and was hospitalized, but doing fine. Now with an update in the health scare, we have learned that he’s still being treated in the Long Island hospital. Super scary but at least he is ok! Details below. Marisa Mendez

It’s been a health-scare month for hip-hop!! According to DJ Scratch, Erick Sermon of the duo EPMD, has suffered a heart attack. Even though details are still slim, according to Scratch’s Twitter, Sermon is doing ok. Read more after the jump! Wendy L.

Parrish J. Smith (born May 13, 1968), better known as PMD (Parrish Making Dollars), is an east coast rapper from Smithtown, Long Island and one-half of EPMD. PMD, who attended Brentwood High School, He is a member of the rap group, EPMD with Erick Sermon. He has released three solo albums, 1994’s Shade Business, 1996’s Business Is Business and 2003’s The Awakening.
