ESPN is doing this new thing during Sportscenter called “Center Stage” where artists will be performing. Wiz Khalifa set it off last night before the NBA Draft, and not that he needs it, but it was a good look for him. Wale will be hitting the stage today to perform but he will have to match the energy Wiz had going in the ESPN studios. Not sure if this is just temporary or something they plan on doing for a while, but it’s a nice move on the part of the network.

Cari Champion, the co-host of the ESPN2’s “First Take” for almost three years has been named the newest anchor of ESPN’s “SportsCenter,” TheWrap has learned. Champion joins “SportsCenter”s’ impressive stable of female anchors, including Hannah Storm, Linda Cohn, Sage Steele, Lindsay Czarniak, Jaymee Sire, Sara Walsh, Jade McCarthy and Nicole Briscoe.

Stuart Scott may physically be gone after fighting cancer until the end. but his memory, especially with sports fans, will live on forever. Yesterday ESPN made sure you won’t be able to walk through the halls without thinking of him as they unveiled a huge plaque in Scott’s honor and his daughters were on hand for the event. Stu’s catch phrase of “Boo-Yah” was given eternal life when they revealed the plaque and I must say they did a great job. Respect to ESPN for the classy move and as always, RIP Stuart Scott.
