(Photos+Video) Explosion In Front Of Time Life Building Causes Panic On NYC Streets

After a fire broke out in a manhole in front of the Time Life building in Manhattan on Monday, people passing by on the NYC streets were spotted running for safety. Some offices near the location on 51st Street between Sixth and Seventh avenues were evacuated, reports are stating. FDNY has responded to the fire and as of now, no injuries have been reported. 12:05pm 8/16/2013 The New York fire department reported, “MAN ALL HANDS ED KOCH QUEENSBORO BRIDGE, FIRE ON BRIDGE LOWER LEVEL.” All lanes are shut down until further notice. Reports are going around that a big rig caught on fire. Not only is the big rig, and the bridge in flames, but looks like some electrical cables are seen burning as well. As more information flows in, we’ll continue to give you the details. 11:34am 8/16/2013 If you’re commuting and your plans were to take the Manhattan Queensboro Bridge, you may have to re-route yourself. (**GRAPHIC**Photos) Natural Gas Explosion Leaves 12 Dead!!

In Argentina, a natural gas explosion left around 60 people hurt while killing 12. It happened in Argentina’s third-largest city, Rosario. The explosion was so powerful that it removed the outer layer of affected buildings, exposing the flames to the air –which caused them to expand. Despite the exposure, firefighters were able to put out the flames, but the building frames were unstable and can still possibly collapse. Hit the jump for the pics.
