NBA: Rasheed Wallace Says Flint Water Crisis Has The City Looking Like A Third World Country

While it feels like a large portion of the people in this country have forgotten about the water crisis in Flint, Michigan, Rasheed Wallace definitely has not. In fact, his is still dedicating his time and effort to help the people of Flint as well as continue to do his best to keep the story in the forefront. He appeared on “Inside The NBA” last night on the Kevin Garnett segment titled “Area 21”. He spoke candidly about what’s happening in Flint and compared it to a third world country and not being able to recognize that you’re even in America.


Flint, Michigan Woman Suing Over Poisoned Water Found Shot To Death In Her Home

On Tuesday, police found the bodies of two women inside of a townhouse, where they also found a one-year-old who was unharmed. Both women had been shot to death and have been identified as Sasha Bell and Sacorya Reed. The child that was found in the home was taken into child protective services. Police are treating this case as a double homicide and have a suspect in custody. No charges have been filed yet. Check out the rest of the story after the jump.

As most of us know Flint, MI is going though a serious water crisis right now. Many people all over are volunteering and giving generous donations to the the people of Flint. Celebrities such as Big Sean, Pusha T, Timbaland, Aretha Franklin and Beyonce have all been trying to make a difference and help the people of Flint in their time of need. But I would have to say the most incredible story that I have read up on is about a seven year old young boy, Isiah Britt, who decided that he wanted to help the children of Flint, MI by donating hand sanitizer so kids in local Flint schools can wash their hands. Big Sean’s #HealFlintsKids Fundraiser Raises Over $50,000

Detroit rapper, Big Sean lent a helping hand to the people of Flint, Michigan who are suffering from the current toxic water crisis. Joining the likes of fellow rappers and celebrities Big Sean initially donated $10,000 to the crisis but later took his donation one step further by starting a fundraiser to support the children of his home state. #HealFlintKids kicked off January 21st and in that short amount of time was able to reach a huge milestone of $50,000. It’s really disgusting to see what’s happening to the people in Flint, Michigan but it’s nice to see people with money and influence finally stepping up to help.


(Video) The Game Makes A Huge Donation To #FlintWaterCrisis, Calls Out Other Celebs For Weak Donations

Cali rapper, The Game made a statement with his recent donation to the water crisis that’s currently plaguing Flint, Michigan. In a recent Instagram post, Game posted proof he made a whopping $500,000 donation of his own cash to the people of Michigan and the proceeded to put all others who have donated or pledged to help so far to shame. In an interview with TMZ Live Game revealed that his donation was kind of personal for him as his sister and her kids live in Flint. He explained how in addition to his $500,000 donation he also partnered with AvitaWater who matched his $500K totaling his donation to $1 million. He called out fellow celebs, Jimmy Fallon and Madonna for their $10,000 pledges saying they were “cute, but not enough” More below.
