Paul George suffered a devastating leg injury during Team USA’s scrimmage game on Friday night. George remained calm during the incident and appeared to be in good spirits after successfully undergoing surgery. There was a huge outpouring of love for George from not only teams and players in the NBA, but all the major sports and fans as well. Team USA’s coach K was very emotional after the incident and visited George in the hospital where they embraced in a heartfelt hug. Boxer Floyd Mayweather Jr., who was in attendance at the game and is a close friend of George, also visited him in the hospital and left some uplifting words.

Things between Nelly and Floyd Mayweather Jr. continue to worsen all over Mayweather’s ex-fiancee, Shantel Jackson. Though Nelly and Miss Jackson maintain that they are just friends, they sure look like much more. In fact, Nelly was on hand for Miss Jackson’s birthday festivities and the two took some pretty intimate photos. Yesterday Nelly made an appearance on ESPN2’s show Highly Questionable and was of course asked about Floyd. Nelly said he doesn’t have any beef with Mayweather but that didn’t stop him from throwing a few jabs.

Boxing champion Floyd Mayweather and his former fiancee Miss Jackson decided to part ways. Things got really messy when Floyd announced the reason for their split was due to Miss Jackson aborting their twin babies. During the whole drama there were rumors that Jackson moved on with rapper Nelly. The two have maintained that they’re just friends but it sure looks otherwise.

It seems athletes from older generations struggle to give credit to the guys doing it today. It is hard to blame them, they are looked at as icons, living legends etc, but in most cases the athletes of this generation are better, definitely more athletic and playing against harder competition. So it was no surprise when Sugar Ray Leonard took a small jab (pun intended) at Floyd Mayweather last night after seeing him fight Marcos Maidana Saturday night. In Leonard’s defense when the person behind the camera asked him about beating Floyd he tried to brush it off before shaking his head yes. What was he supposed to say? Forbes released an article tabulating how Michael Jordan made a whopping $90 million in 2013. As you probably guessed, majority was from his popular sneaker sales. While reading the article however I noticed they mentioned an interesting tidbit; there was only one athlete who made more than Jordan last year and the answer probably won’t surprise you either.
