(Video) Mom That Beat Teenage Son For Participating In Riot Speaks Out

Toya Graham has been given the title “Mom of the Year” after the video surfaced of her slapping her son, trying to coral him into the house, while he was throwing rocks at the police. Graham said she acted out of fear that her son would end up like Freddie Gray, as she spoke with CBS on Tuesday. She said,”That’s my only son and at the end of the day, I don’t want him to be a Freddie Gray.” She went on to add, “Is he a perfect boy? No he’s not. But he’s mine.” Toya Graham is a single mother, raising 5 children. Check the videos after the jump!

David Banner, a well known activist in the Hip Hop community, hasn’t been holding any punches in regards to the riots in Baltimore! He’s been tweeting his opinion; and it looks like he agrees with the tactics performed by the youth and united gangs in the area. (Video) NFL: Ray Lewis Gives Passionate Speech Asking Rioters to Stop the Violence in Baltimore

Ray Lewis spent his entire 17-year career as a linebacker with the Baltimore Ravens.  In addition to his plays on the field, he was known for his passionate speeches and preaching ability.  Yesterday riots broke out in Baltimore in response to the death of Freddie Gray, a 25-year-old man who died of a severe spinal cord injury after police arrested him.  Businesses were looted and burned down, and both police and protestors suffered injuries.  I also want to mention that THOUSANDS also joined together in peaceful protests that weren’t as widely covered through the media.  In any event, Lewis took to his Twitter account and also made a video asking people to stop the violence.

New York Knicks star Carmelo Anthony was born in Brooklyn but moved to Baltimore when he was eight-years old and even has a West Baltimore tattoo on his shoulder.  Anthony has often talked about the hard life he had in Baltimore and is very familiar with the struggles of the city.  As you know major riots erupted in Baltimore over the protest of the death of Freddie Gray, a 25-year-old man who died of a severe spinal cord injury after police arrested him.  Carmelo Anthony took to his Instagram account to express his sympathy for the Gray family and to ask the rioters to stop destroying the city.

Today, April 27th 2015 marks the day of Freddie Gray’s funeral in Baltimore, Maryland. For those of you who don’t know, Freddie Gray is a 25 year old African American male who died while held in police custody this past week. Their was a threat made early this morning that the Black Guerrilla Family, Bloods, and Crips would be uniting forces today to “take-out” the police.
