Chris Brown Blasts Back At The City Over His Graffiti; Exercises First Amendment

Chris Brown is at odds with his current home of L.A., as the city is attempting to force him to remove the graffiti he drew on his home and he’s not having it! In a recently filed appeal, Breezy says the government has no right to force him to remove it because it’s protected by the First Amendment. Chris tells the city, whose argument is that he has an illegal “sign” on his home, that the graffiti is art that “[enhances] the architectural and aesthetic features of the residential property.” He goes on to say, “The murals are a reflection of [my] aesthetic taste and a reflection of free speech and expression protected by the First Amendment to the United States Constitution.” The case is now in the hands of the Dept. of Building and Safety’s board of appeals. Who do you think will win this one?

NYU Professor Sues James Franco For Defamation, Franco Says He Sucked Wants Case Thrown Out

Jose Angel Santana filed a request for a judge to file a default judgement in his favor for a defamation case in which he tried to sue James Franco for saying that he sucked. The original lawsuit was filed in 2011 but Franco claims he was never properly served, and wants the default judgement tossed out, he also believes the first suit holds no grounds because what Franco said falls under protected “free speech.” It’s just his opinion, but I wonder what the judge will say about this one.
