Young Thug’s Latest Plans To Antagonize Lil Wayne Were Foiled

Young Thug was always idolized Lil Wayne and made that very clear, but the idolization turned into a weird obsession when tension started rising because of the beef between Wayne and Thugger‘s then-manager, Birdman. Since then, Thug has taken multiple shots at Wayne on social media, and even attempted to name his last project Tha Carter VI, despite the fact that Wayne had yet to release Tha Carter V. His plans were foiled, though, and his latest stunt to antagonize Wayne has been foiled as well! A few weeks back, Thug announced he’d release his next mixtape Slime Season on July 4 – the same day that Wayne revealed his Free Weezy Album will be released. July 4 has come and Tune‘s album has since been released (and it’s FIRE), but Thugger – not so much!

Behind The Lyrics: Lil Wayne Admits To Botched Suicide Attempt As A Child On “London Roads”

Lil Wayne has long recounted a story of “accidentally” shooting himself when he was 12, playing with a 9 mm handgun. Thankfully, an off-duty cop was around to help young Tune, and he survived to become the rap star he is today. Apparently, that wasn’t the whole story, though! On “London Roads”, a song from his newly-released Free Weezy Album, Wayne revealed that the shooting was no accident.

“Ms. Cita I remember goin’ in your gun drawer Puttin’ it to my chest and missin’ my heart by centimeters, oh Lord I remember dyin’ on her room floor And wakin’ up in some police’s arms He died recent, so I hope heaven made more room for him And I hope he see me, cause if he didn’t save that lil boy there would be no Weezy oh Lord”
