The Real Freeway Ricky Ross Arrested For Suspicion Of Drug Money

The former drug kingpin who inspired rapper Rick Ross’ name, Freeway Ricky Ross, was arrested last week for suspicion of possessing drug money – and the cops certainly found what they were looking for. When cops arrested Ross, he had over $100k on him, and was located in the Emerald Triangle, “a region in northwestern California famous for legal and underground marijuana production.” He is currently free on bail, however, and the investigation is ongoing.

‘Freeway’ Ricky Ross Looking To Take Case Against Rick Ross To U.S. Supreme Court

Rick Ross Wins Big In Court….Against Rick Ross

The lawsuit that has been going on for years has finally come to an end! (Though I could have sworn this issue was put to bed already…but whatevz!) The rapper Rick Ross won in court against the drug lord Rick Ross (aka Freeway Ricky Ross), who had filed suit in 2010 for copyright infringement (I’m typing that in my Nicki Minaj voice from “Get Silly.”) The judge residing on the case, Judge Roger Boren, ruled that Rozay was protected under the first amendment. “We recognize that Roberts’ work — his music and persona as a rap musician — relies to some extent on plaintiff’s name and persona,” Judge Boren said. “Roberts chose to use the name ‘Rick Ross.’ He raps about trafficking in cocaine and brags about his wealth. These were ‘raw materials’ from which Roberts’ music career was synthesized. But these are not the ‘very sum and substance’ of Roberts’ work.” Aka…Rozay lies in his songs, so it’s fine. LOL!

Wow! You’ll NEVER Guess Which Actor Was Chosen To Play Freeway Ricky Ross In Upcoming Biopic!

Well THIS is going to be interesting! Nick Cannon has been tapped to play the role of drug kingpin Freeway Ricky Ross in an upcoming biopic about him (“THIS IS THE STORY OF THE REAL SCARFACE.” he says.) “I’ve been wanting him to play my role since ’96,” Ross said of the odd choice. “We got hooked up, I met him, I loved his personality.” I guess it’s not about the looks, but how you play the role! What do you think of the choice?
