Shocking footage of French police brutally beating a woman in the middle of the street has surfaced online. The video shows an officer attempting to control a man that is assumed to be drunk, while another tends to the female passenger. While near the female passenger, the cop begins to strike her with his baton before spraying her in the face with tear gas. Despite police reports, the scrutiny that the video has had caused prosecutors to investigate what really went on. Check out the video after the jump.
