Police Seek Future’s Help Following The Murder Of His Bodyguard
UPDATE: Future knows nothing. Sources say, although the rapper is deeply saddened by his former bodyguard’s death, he is unable to give any information because they haven’t worked together since 2012. According to TMZ, while he knows nothing, Future refuses to tell the police that. He just … doesn’t know. Street code of ethics? ORIGINAL: Monday, we reported the sad news that Atlanta rapper Future’s bodyguard was gunned down in his home. According to reports, Michael Tanner Phillips was shot and killed inside of his Jonesboro, Georgia home around 1:30PM. The gunman, who fled the scene in a vehicle still remains unidentified and police are now turning to Phillips close family and friends to try and get clues on who the suspect could be. At this point authorities say that neighbors heard “some arguing and some gunshots.” Georgia police, who do not have any suspects, but do have several leads have requested to talk with Future along with other close with Phillips. Future paid his respect to Phillips in a tweet saying, “Rest in Paradise Big Mike Lafamilia forever lil bro #FBG.” Click the gallery for more.

In addition to many of his other troubles (of course not including the release of Purple Reign), Future must deal with the loss of his bodyguard, Michael Tanner Phillips. According to Fox 5 Atlanta, Phillips was shot and killed inside of his Jonesboro, Ga. home around 1:30 p.m. The gunman fled the scene in a vehicle, both unidentified. Drop down bottom for more.

Cam Newton and the Carolina Panthers put on an epic performance on Sunday, crushing the Arizona Cardinals 49-15, winning the NFC Championship game and heading to Super Bowl 50 to face the Denver Broncos. Newton had some special guests in the building supporting him, rappers Future and Jeezy. Newton has joined both rappers on stage during prior performances and they returned the favor supporting him at his job. Also, I’m pretty sure Future is happy Newton and the Panthers eliminated Russell Wilson and the Seattle Seahawks.
