Drake Ranks Highest For Most Nominations For 2014 BET Hip Hop Awards
The time is now – the nominations for BET’s 2014 Hip Hop Awards have been released. Topping the list with the most nominations is (beating of the drums)……Drake (but you already knew that! The OVO crew member has a total of eight nominations in categories such as ‘Album of the Year’, ‘MVP of the Year’ and the ‘People’s Champ Award.’ Following right behind Drizzy are Jay Z, Future, and Pharrell with six nominations and Nicki Minaj, Rich Homie Quan, and YG pick up five. Just one day after the September 2nd release of his fifth studio album Seen It All: The Autobiography, the trap star OG Young Jeezy hit the stage in NYC for a private album release concert hosted by Hot 97. The Snowman performed some tracks off his new album including “1-4 Block,” “Beautiful,” “Me Okay” and of course his smash-hit single Ft. Jay-Z, “Seen It All.” He also took us back with some oldies including “Put On,” “I Luv It,” “Tear It Up” (for the ladies) and many more. However, what made the night even more epic was the long list of surprise guests that Jeezy brought out to the stage with him. Akon, Remy Ma, Bobby Shmurda, and Future were all apart of last night’s festivities. (Even Mack Wilds made a special appearance on stage to support Jeezy!) Seriously? After He Was Caught Cheating, Ciara Takes Future Back For “The Baby”
Oh my, Ciara. Haven’t you learned anything? As previously reported, Ciara and Future parted ways and ended their engagement last month, after CiCi discovered that the father of her newborn had been cheating on her with his stylist, amongst others. Despite how head-over-heels in love they seemed to be at one time, the news didn’t come as that much of a shocker, considering Future has 3 other children with 3 other women – making it glaringly obvious that he’s not one to settle down. Unfortunately, it appears the pair have gotten back together, and Ciara’s claiming it’s because she “feels strongly” about their son having his father around 24/7. TMZ reports that he and Ciara are living together again and are trying to make things work between them, as CiCi reportedly believes Future’s a good father and that it’s best for their son if his dad’s there. Girl….I don’t even feel bad for you anymore. I get it that you love him, but he’s CLEARLY a dog!

This weekend was THE one for award shows. Not only did MTV’s Video Music Awards pop off in a booty-tastic way, but on Friday, at the Pantages Theatre in Hollywood, the BMI R&B/Hip Hop Awards was jumping off. To honor him for his influence in the entertainment industry, Ludacris was honored with the President’s Award and celebrated with other artists – Future, Hit Boy, August Alsina, Faith Evans, Lorenz Tate, Chris Brown (who also won the BMI Special Citation of Achievement award), Zendaya and more.
