Gabrielle Giffords Speaks On Denied Gun Control Ban

Former Democratic representative, Gabrielle Giffords, is speaking out about the gun control bill being denied earlier today. Gabby Giffords was shot in January 2011 and has had a very long road to recovery. Although she has gained many motor skills back, she is still not 100%. Since the Aurora movie theater shooting and especially since the Newtown massacre, Giffords joined many people speaking in defense of gun control. About one dozen people were shot during the rampage, six people were killed, and Giffords was shot in the head and now suffers some brain damage. Gabrielle Giffords Vows To Make A Return To Congress

Gabrielle Giffords, the representative who was shot in the head on January 8 2011, has made a vow to return back to Congress. Giffords has written a book about her ordeal, including her months of physical therapy and the emotional toll the incident put on her, titled “Gabby: A Story of Courage and Hope.” In the book she says that she will not let this incident stop her from doing her job and what she loves to do.
