NBA: Gerald Wallace Says Nets 2013 Trade Was a “Get-Rich-Quick Scheme” That Backfired

The Brooklyn Nets went all out in 2013 in an attempt to win an NBA championship but unfortunately for them, their efforts failed.  Among those moves was the blockbuster trade that sent Paul Pierce, Kevin Garnett and Jason Terry to the Nets in exchange for Gerald Wallace, Kris Humphries, Keith Bogans, Kris Joseph, MarShon Brooks and three future first-round picks to the Boston Celtics.  Looking back on the trade, Wallace wasn’t shy in expressing his feelings.


NBA: Gerald Wallace Out For the Rest of the Season

The Boston Celtics currently have a lot of injuries and it was determined on Friday that forward Gerald Wallace will likely miss the final 23 games of the 2013-14 NBA season.

NBA: Gerald Wallace Calls Out “Selfish” Teammates in Celtics Loss to Bucks

While many people believe the Boston Celtics are in tank mode that word isn’t in Gerald Wallace’s vocabulary.  Wallace was involved in the trade that sent Kevin Garnett and Paul Pierce to the Nets in exchange for draft picks and bad contracts to the Celtics.  Wallace may not have been too happy about the trade but he’s been trying to make the best of the situation and now he’s unhappy with the effort put forth by his teammates.

NBA: Celtics Already Looking to Trade Kris Humphries & Gerald Wallace

The Boston Celtics are clearly going into rebuilding mode as they traded away Kevin Garnett, Paul Pierce and Jason Terry.  In return they took on two of the Brooklyn Nets bad contracts, Kris Humphries (one year, $12 million) and the awful Gerald Wallace deal (three years, $30 million remaining).  Now Boston is looking for a trade partner to get rid of those as well.  Read more after the jump.
