It’s no surprise that the western conference Game 7 is a hot ticket as it’s the deciding factor in the WCF championship and who will go on to face the Cleveland Cavaliers in the NBA Finals.  It’s definitely the place to be and costed a pretty penny to get in the building.

Steph Curry and the Golden State Warriors held on to their slim lead until the final seconds of game 5 of the Western Conference Finals with a score of 120-111.

NBA: Stephen Curry: “The series isn’t over; This isn’t how we’re going to go out’

Stephen Curry is the MVP and Draymond Green is supposed to be the heart of the team, but they both fell way short as the Oklahoma City Thunder took a commanding 3-1 lead over the Golden State Warriors in the western conference finals.  Curry finished with 19 points on 20 shot attempts and Green finished with just 6 points on 1-of-7 shooting from the field.  Though many have said the Warriors are done, they are convinced they can become the third of 40 teams to come back from a 3-1 deficit in an NBA conference finals.

The major question was whether or not Draymond Green was going to play after a second kick to the groin of Steven Adams.  The league decided not to suspend Green and it was assumed the Golden State Warriors would now win and even the series up 2-2 with the Oklahoma City Thunder.  That however did not happen.  The Thunder came out ready to prove everybody wrong and won another blowout game 118-94, to take a commanding 3-1 lead over the Warriors in the Western Conference Finals.  It shocked everyone as people thought the NBA record holding, 73-9 Warriors would roll over the Thunder as they have before.  As you know, no one is exempt from social media ridicule, especially not the Warriors who were “supposed” to win.  So out came the crying Jordan memes and more.  Even little Riley Curry was not spared.

The Golden State Warriors were looking more like their old selves on Wednesday night as they pummeled the Oklahoma City Thunder, winning game 2 by a large margin of 118-91.  Stephen Curry was in MVP form, knocking down 3’s and even diving into the stands after a loose ball in the first quarter.  Now Curry is supposed to be the most beloved player in the Bay but it didn’t look like it last night.
