NBA: Kevin Durant on Warriors & Spurs: “We not scared of either one of those teams”

Kevin Durant scored 40 points and 14 rebounds in addition to Russell Westbrook’s 27 points and 12 rebounds and Enes Kanter stepped up as well with a double-double of 14 points and 15 rebounds but all in all it was not enough as the Golden State Warriors beat the Oklahoma City Thunder 116-108 on Saturday night.  It’s clear that the Thunder are in fact contenders but they have two major road blocks in the Warriors and San Antonio Spurs.  Is it something they have enough firepower to over come?

The reigning NBA champs were there to visit the President like every other championship team has but the POTUS seemed to have alot of fun with them. Seriously how can the Golden State Warriors get any better?! Simple, by adding a former NBA MVP and scoring champion, Kevin Durant.  Up until now it seemed like a long shot but today Adrian Wojnarowski of The Vertical (Yahoo Sports), known for dropping “Woj bombs”, solidified that it was a serious possibility.

The Golden State Warriors are an amazing team.  It’s also a team that was built, not simply put together with stars teaming up.  That means they went through some pretty bad years before they became what they are today.  So as with many other good teams especially newly good teams, there’s a lot of new Warriors fans.  Several Golden State fans were in attendance at Madison Square Garden on Sunday night as the Warriors played the Knicks.  The MSG team decided to poke fun at those so-called fans.
