NBA: Steve Nash Says Warriors ‘Could be Better Than Any Team in NBA History’

The Golden State Warriors already set a new record finishing 73-9 last season, but they still aren’t considered the best team in history since they failed to win an NBA championship that same year.  They are slated by many to win the title this year with the addition of Kevin Durant and their player-development consultant, Steve Nash says they now could be the  best in NBA history.

Kevin Durant played his second game with his new team, the Golden State Warriors, and realized there’s more he needs to learn about the game.  The Warriors move the ball a lot more, they led the league last season in assists per game at 28.9 while the Thunder was in 10th place.  Though it was just a preseason game, the Warriors made a statement as they beat the Clippers 120-75.  Durant appeared very happy with his new team.

NBA: Stephen Curry Optimistic He Will Re-Sign With Warriors in Free Agency

If there was any doubt that Stephen Curry would re-sign with the Golden State Warriors, he put that to bed during media day.  The sharpshooter made it clear that he intends to stay with the western conference champions.  With all these big contracts recently signed, it’s been pointed out over and over again that Curry’s contract was significantly less considering his talent, but that contract was signed long ago before the MVPs when his ankle was still fragile.  The Warriors have a chance now to make that up and there’s no doubt that they will.

NBA: Doc Rivers: Clippers ‘Can Play with Anybody & Don’t Feel There’s a Gap’ With Warriors

The Los Angeles Clippers have been able to overcome being the little brothers thanks to the fall of the Los Angeles Lakers, but they haven’t been able to overcome their main rival in the league, the Golden State Warriors.  Not only did the Warriors set an NBA record going 73-9 last season, they also picked up the prize of free agency, Kevin Durant, whom the Clippers also met with and vied for.  Despite never getting past the second round in the playoffs, coach Doc Rivers has no doubt they can go toe-to-toe with the Western Conference champs.
