When a hall of famer like Hakeem Olajuwon weighs in on a basketball related topic, his opinion counts more than most. He did everything you could ever wanna do in an NBA career and he did it at a time where the league was tougher and reaching new heights. He played against Jordan in his prime so he gets asked alot about his game and in this instance the reporter asked about the familiar comparison of MJ to Lebron and the Dream was very matter of fact with his answer, while still showing respect to Lebron. Remember, he has spent one on one time training Lebron on some moves and he has a good idea of what Bron brings to the table.

There’s one shot that’s truly unique to Dirk Nowitzki and everybody knows it.  In fact many players like Kevin Durant and Kobe Bryant have even tried to mimic it.  It’s the one-legged fadeaway and Nowitzki says it’s the “white version” of the infamous “Dream Shake” by Hakeem Olajuwon.

I don’t know if I agree with this, but then again I am not a former NBA great who is currently in the Hall of Fame. Dwight Howard has always had that great potential, but never seems to fully live up to it. He hasn’t shown the ability to carry a team and his personality at times leads you to wonder how mature he is, or what his focus is. Well those times may be a thing of the past according to a former Rockets great.

NBA: Hakeem Olajuwon Says He Wishes He Was Doing a Better Job With Dwight Howard

Once an NBA star himself and now a legend, Hakeem Olajuwon has become a teacher to some of the greatest in the game including Kobe Bryant, Lebron James and the latest, Dwight Howard.  Though Dwight is averaging 17.2 points and 13.9 rebounds, many feel he still isn’t playing up to his full potential.  His post moves or lack thereof are questionable and well his free-throws are an entirely different story.  Olajuwon famous for his post moves including the legendary ‘dream shake’ was hoping to teach those to Dwight but so far the job just hasn’t gotten done.
