Pharrell’s “Happy” movement has even spread to the middle east and is causing a ruckus on twitter. A group of young people in Iran recreated the “Happy” video by dancing and singing which was posted to Youtube.

The latest trend has been leading cultures world wide, to express their joyfulness, through dance and their very own rendition of ‘Happy’. This group of young Iranians have done just that! ….Unfortunately 7-8 of the ‘Happy’ Iranians from Tehran have been arrested, after dancing unveiled, then posting the video and gaining more than 300,000 views, before it was taken down. Since then, many Iranians have recreated, Pharrell’s ‘Happy’ and have started the #FreeHappyIranians hashtag, in light of the issue. Check out the news clip, and video below!
