After losing power while in the air, a sight seeing helicopter was forced to make an emergency landing on the water near 79th street. With four people on board, the pilot made a sound decision to land as promptly and safely. The difference between emergency landings with airplanes and helicopters is: with loss of power, airplanes have the ability to glide and land properly while helicopters usually go straight down immediately. A helicopter has made an emergency landing on the Hudson River. There are not too many details at the moment besides that four passengers and the pilot have been rescued and brought to sure. The incident happened around 79th Street but it is still unknown what brought down the copter. We will have more details as they develop. UPDATE 1: The pilot said that the sightseeing helicopter lost power.

Space Plane Set To Take First Unmanned Test Flight
A Space Plane owned by a private company is slated to take its first test flight in the next 6-8 weeks. The plane will hopefully make roundtrip space missions making it easier for astronauts to get into space. The Dream Chaser spacecraft, built by Sierra Nevada Corp, is hoping to be the first aircraft to make that trip.
