NBA: Our Own @IamJoeSports Talked With @CP3 & @KarlTowns At The State Farm/NBA Cares Event In NYC

Chris Paul loves the kids and has constantly gone out of his way to give back to the younger generation and have an impact on them the best way he can. Yesterday, Chris, along with his Chris Paul Family Foundation, State Farm and NBA Cares, held an event at the Educational Alliance Boys & Girls Club’s Edgies Clubhouse in New York City where they unveiled a state of the art mobile teen learning center. This was all part of the State Farm Assists Tracker, which provided $5 for every assist made league wide during the 2015-16 season to help renovate select Boys & Girls clubs across the country. We were invited to the event and had a chance to sit down with both Chris Paul & Minnesota Timberwolves rookie of the year, Karl Anthony Towns.

Most recently, The guys had me on as a guest, where as you guessed it, the talk was about Lakers drama and the upcoming playoffs.

(Video) NBA: Lebron Spits Short Freestyle For Blazers Damian Lillard..What Yall Think?

Lebron is officially the biggest star to take part in Portland Trailblazers guard Damian Lillard’s #4BarFriday. For those who don’t know, before the season began, Lillard encouraged fans and other players to spit 4 bars every Friday on Instagram and tag him. Lillard himself is very heavy into hip hop and raps in his free time as well. Whenever the King is around, you have to give up the shine for the day. Hit the jump and listen to Lebron’s 4 bars.

MLB: Report, The Mariners Are About To Steal Robinson Cano For HOW Much??

You see how Robinson Cano is smiling in that picture? It is because he is about to possibly cash a BIG check! Only thing is, once he cashes it, I am not sure how long he will be happy in Seattle. Reports surfaced yesterday that the Yankees know how much the Mariners are going to offer Cano, and it could come as early as today. Sources close to the team say they are 100% certain he will leave the Yanks if that offer comes in. Hit the jump for more.

(Video) NBA: Knicks Destroy Nets, Claim Spot As Best In The City……For Now!

It is official. As of right now, the New York Knicks are the best in the city. Unfortunately at the moment that don’t mean sh*t. The Knicks actually played TEAM basketball last night and blew the Nets out of their own arena by winning 113-83. The Knicks for the first time this season seemed to have amazing chemistry together and everyone was supporting each other. The bench was going crazy at every good play and showing love all game. The ball movement around the court was great to see. Iman Shumpert instantly quieted those traded rumors with an outstanding game himself. The Nets struggles continued as they just could never really get going. At one point in the second quarter they made the game close, but after that it was Knicks all the way. Jason Kidd is definitely going to be spilling more drinks from being nervous of losing his job soon if things don’t turn around. The Knicks still have alot to work on going forward, but it was a good win to break their 9 game losing streak. Hit the jump for highlights of the game.

(Live Stream) Boxing: Watch The Stevens/Golovkin Weigh-In Live Here On #IFWT At 1:00pm, @HBOBoxing

This Saturday, live from Madison Square Garden, Gennady Golovkin will take on New York’s own Curtis Stevens for the WBA Middleweight World Championship. It should be a very physical fight and I will be looking for the southpaw Stevens to catch Golovkin with that mean left hook. You can watch the weigh-in after the jump as of 1pm. Hit the jump.

(Photos) NBA: Daaamn!! Kobe Bryant’s Friday Will Put Yours To Shame

Kobe Bryant might not be able to join his teammates on the court yet, but that doesn’t mean he isn’t happy today. On a day where some of us are happy the weekend is here as we decide what to do for the night, you could have the best plans in the world and it still will not come close to what Kobe is feeling today. Why is today so special for him? There are about 24 million different ways to answer that. Hit the jump.

(Photos) NBA: Carmelo Confirms: “I Want To Retire In New York”

The Knicks lost their game against the Bulls last night, but they might of won in the long run. Prior to the game going on the air, Carmelo Anthony did an interview with TNT where he discussed his free agency. He has been taking some undeserved criticism lately for even discussing his possible free agency, and leaving it up in the air as far as where he could wind up. But if you are a true fan you know it would be naive of him NOT to opt-out and become a free agent because of the money he can earn even if he was to re-sign with the Knicks. He decided to clear the air last night and Knicks fans should he happy. Hit the jump.

(Video) NBA: Chris Paul Has A MONSTER Game, As Clippers/Warriors Get Physical!!

Chris Paul is not playing around!! The best Point Guard in the NBA showed us why he has earned that title last night, as he went off for 42 points and 15 assists in a 126-115 win. He was in a constant battle with Stephen Curry, who dropped 38 points himself for the Warriors. The Clippers led pretty much most of the game, but this game was still full of exciting plays. It was also the scene of some physical play between DeAndre Jordan and Andrew Bogut as they both shoved each other extremely hard, almost coming to blows. Lob City was in the building as usual when Jordan earlier in the game caught an alley-oop with his head almost touching the rim. I am loving that the NBA is back!! Hit the jump for the highlights.

(Video) NBA: He’s Back!! Derrick Rose Hits Game Winner To Take Down Knicks

The doubts about Derrick Rose and his health should be put to rest now. He did not play a great game against my Knicks last night, but he got it done when it counted the most. Rose hit a tough shot over Tyson Chandler with 5 seconds left to give the Bulls a 82-81 win in his first game in front of the home Chicago crowd since he tore his ACL. The Knicks were down by 12 in the 4th quarter, but put together a nice run to tie up the game and set up an exciting ending. Carmelo Anthony, who finished with 22 points, had a chance to win at the buzzer, but his jumper fell short. Check the highlights after the jump.
