As far back as I can remember Ice Cube has been a HUGE Raiders fan.  With the passing of the Raiders owner Al Davis I wanted to take a look back on Ice Cube’s Straight Outta L.A documentary.  The documentary was one of ESPN’s 30 for 30 specials and it demonstrates the marriage between the Raiders and the LA hip hop scene mainly N.W.A.  Check the videos out after the jump. @Shay_Marie x @gametimegirl

MC Ren and Ice Cube know who they would want to direct a N.W.A. biopic, and no it’s not Ice Cube! Both rappers have spoke and said that they believe there is one man who can capture their group’s full story. The director has worked with Ice Cube in the past and directed a classic in the past. Eazy E’s Son Likely To Play His Father in Upcoming NWA Movie

We told you a few weeks back that director John Singleton, the man behind classics like “Boys N Da Hood” and more was on board to direct a movie about the lives of gangsta rappers NWA, alongside actor and former group mate, Ice Cube. John Singleton and Ice Cube in Talks to Direct N.W.A. Biopic!

John Singleton, who shot to fame directing the classic “Boyz N Da Hood,” may be returning to his roots fairly soon with a brand new movie. The famed director is responsible for various hits, including Baby Boy, 2 Fast 2 Furious, 4 Brothers and more, but he is currently in talks with Ice Cube (who starred in his first movie) to make a biopic about the iconic gangsta rap group, N.W.A. (Classic Video) Ice Cube ”It Was A Good Day”

“It Was a Good Day” is a 1993 hit single by Ice Cube from his third solo album, The Predator. It is the second single from the album and it peaked at number seven on the Billboard Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs chart. It was also a hit in the UK Charts, peaking at number 27. It was ranked 77 on VH1’s 100 Greatest Songs of the 90s. In 2008, it was ranked number 28 on VH1’s 100 greatest songs of hip hop. The song was featured on the ‘Radio Los Santos’ radio station in the 2004 video game Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas. The sample used in the song is from the Isley Brothers’ track “Footsteps in the Dark”. Everyday at 5pm we post a classic video that meant something in hip hop..
