The Yankees took a big hit yesterday, and unfortunately it’s not the type of hit that will help them win a game. The captain himself, Derek Jeter who had surgery late last season on his ankle after breaking it late in the season, was hopeful he would of been ready by opening day. That came and went, but the Yankees were still hoping he would be back soon. His rehab has been plagued by setbacks. He has been diagnosed with a small crack in his surgically repaired left ankle, a setback that will keep him sidelined until after the All-Star break. Alot of people actually weren’t expecting too much from the Yanks this season, but losing Jeter for even longer just made things worse. Check out the video after the jump.
