Kevin Durant is extremely motivated to get back on the court.  Coming off an MVP season in 2013-14, he played in just 27 games last season while battling foot injuries.  While he was healthy he knows that he’s one of the best players in the world, in fact he was beginning to draw comparisons to LeBron James.  He’s not only hungry to get back on the court; he’s also hungry to prove that he is the best player in the world.

NBA: Report, Cavs Expected To Keep Kyrie Irving Out Until January, Possibly Later

When Kyrie Irving went down in game one of the NBA Finals with an injury to his knee, he was expected to be fully healthy and ready to go in a few months. That prognosis would have meant he would be fine for the start of next season but now the Cavs are reportedly saying they don’t want to do that and would rather show more caution with him and his knee.

NBA Report: Joel Embiid Re-Broke Same Bone in Right Foot

The Philadelphia 76ers have suffered another major blow in their rebuild efforts.  A couple of weeks before the NBA Draft in late June, the Sixers announced center Joel Embiid had suffered a setback.  The team made it clear, Embiid’s “right foot revealed less healing than anticipated.”  Well it turns out things are way worse then they let on.

Marcus Smart suffered an ugly injury to his right hand last night during an NBA summer league game. Now it’s not as gruesome as what happened to Jason Pierre Paul but it was very painful because Marcus was screaming at the top of his lungs in the arena.
