Wow! 50 Cent Leaves Shady/Interscope Records!

50 Cent had his introduction to the game through Eminem’s Shady Records, a division of Interscope Records. After over a decade with the House of Shady, though, he has decided to part ways. It doesn’t come as a total surprise, as over the years, he’s had tension with both Interscope over the promotion and situation with his albums, and with Em’s big homie Dr. Dre because of SMS Audio vs. Beats By Dre. With the departure, he’s inked a new deal, and his new album Animal Ambition will be released through Caroline/Capitol/UMG on June 3rd. Check out a statement from both Fif and Eminem below. What better way to honor Dr. Dre’s 49th birthday than to feature him on the cover of XXL? The legendary Hip-Hop rapper/producer is joined by Eminem and Interscope’s main man Jimmy Iovine for the March/April issue. The three men have played a huge role in the evolution of the rap game throughout the years, so it’s only right. The mag will be hitting newsstands on March 11th. Make sure to get your copy!


Bad Boy Records Closing Down?

For the last few months, word on the rumor mill is that Diddy will be shutting down Bad Boy Records. As far as the longtime label’s employees, some are said to have been laid off, while others he has shifted around to his many other ventures, including Ciroc/Blue Flame Agency, Revolt TV and his newly acquired Tequila. But what about the artists? So far, reports state that French Montana and Janelle Monae are going to be absorbed into Bad Boy’s distributor Interscope Records, while there has been no information given on Machine Gun Kelly, Red Cafe, his girlfriend Cassie (who I’m sure will be fine regardless,) Los or YouTube sensation Megan Nicole…who we didn’t hear a thing from after she signed, but whatever.


Chief Keef – “Bang 3” [Release Date]

It’s the ‘BANG’ series and Chief Keef is back at it. A studio session with Interscope A&R Larry Jackson, has confirmed that a video will be dropping in early February and the mixtape, Bang 3 will drop, SOON! You can check out the date down bottom.


Lady Gaga Speaks On Rumors Behind Losing Label Millions!

Lady Gaga has spoken and she says that although she may have lost the support of those close to her, she has not lost the support of her Interscope label, who she states, fully supports he ARTPOP album. Hit the jump for more.

Didn’t we just mention deals? After Mike Will Made It’s recent buzz and serious earned income in 2013, Jimmy Iovine decided to get a piece of that pie. Mike Will sat down for brunch, with the co-founder of Interscope and his manager, DJ Mormile to ink a deal for his own label, Eardruma Records. Could this only mean BIGGER things to come? We hope so! CONGRATULATIONS MIKE!
